WEST ALEXANDRIA — Twin Valley South girls soccer had one game last week, traveling to Bethel and earning a 0-0 tie on Thursday, Oct. 8.

“It was a really evenly played game. We both had some chances and (goalkeeper) Lacey Emrick made two next level saves to maintain the tie,” said head coach Chad Newport.

The tie placed South in a position to earn second place in the Cross County Conference as they are knotted with Bethel in the position.

They are now 3-1-1 in the CCC and hold a record of 9-3-2 overall on the season.

The Panthers close out the regular season with games against Tri-County North on Monday and at home against Miami East on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 5:30 p.m.

They will play Dixie in the first round of tournament play on Monday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. The Panthers played the Greyhounds earlier in the season, shutting them out 4-0.

The winner of the match-up will go on to host no. 1 seeded Badin on Thursday, Oct. 22.
