EATON — Preble Shawnee picked up a 3-2 win over host Eaton in boys tennis last week.

Shawnee got wins at first and third singles, as well as second doubles to improve its record to 4-5.

The Arrows’ Luke Feck defeated Eaton’s Brad Kramer 6-2, 6-0 at first singles.

In second single, Eaton’s Breven Perry beat Chris Allen 6-0, 6-2.

Shawnee’s Alec Hamblin defeated Dylan Hauser of 1-6, 6-4, 6-4, in third singles.

In doubles, Aaron Tolliver and Branson Ball of Eaton defeated Cailin Foriest and Steven Carter 6-0, 6-1 at first doubles.

In second doubles, Shawnee Chucky Short and Cole Michael beat Andrew Collins and Cody Frizzell of Eaton, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.

“Our guys really fought hard tonight and never gave up on themselves or our team. Luke did what he does and played another very solid match,” Shawnee coach Dave Hubbard said. “Alec put together an unbelievable comeback as did Chucky and Cole at second doubles. I honestly could not be more proud of these kids tonight or more pleased with the effort they gave”.

On Friday, Shawnee lost to Waynesville 4-1. Feck was the lone winner for the Arrows, claiming a 6-2, 6-0 win over Jake Trapp.

Shawnee is 4-6 after the loss and 2-2 in the SWBL Buckeye Division.
