South wins CCC

WEST ALEXANDRIA — Twin Valley South’s boys track team won five events en route to winning its second straight Cross County Conference championship on Saturday, May 14.

The Panthers won the 4×800 relay, shot put, discus, 200-meter dash and pole vault.

South’s girls won six events in placing second, behing conference champion Covington.

South will begin its postseason on Tuesday, May 17, at Welcome Stadium, in Dayton, in the Division III District meet. The D-III finals are scheduled for Saturday. Tri-County North and National Trail will also be competing at the D-III district in Dayton.
