PITSBURG — After a week-long break, National Trail’s boys soccer team resumed play on Thursday, Sept. 8, in a Cross County Conference match at Franklin-Monroe. The Blazers lost, 5-0.
A storm forced a lengthy delay in the game, which made for a long night.
“The rain definitely played a big factor with the boys, but it was good to see them not give up on playing although the rain put a big mood change in place,” coach Mariah Brinley said. “The team is coming together with lots to work on. But I’m happy with where they are heading as a team.”
National Trail remains winless on the season at 0-5, and 0-2 in CCC standings. Their next match-up was scheduled for Monday, Sept. 12, at Dixie.
