KETTERING — October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To show support for those battling the disease and to help raise awareness of the need for breast cancer screenings, Kettering Sports Medicine, Dayton Sports Medicine Institute, Kettering Breast Evaluation Centers and local high schools are partnering to hold “Pink Games” at athletic events in October.

Athletic trainers will use pink towels and pink athletic tape at designated games in October. Pink footballs will be thrown into the stands.

Pink Games will be observed at the Friday, Oct. 14 varsity football game at Eaton High School, against Brookville, and at the National Trail home game against Bethel.

Kettering Breast Evaluation Centers is reminding women to schedule their mammogram at 1-800-373-2160 and take the “I WILL” challenge—and encourage women you care about to do the same. Early detection saves lives. Visit ketteringhealth.org/breasthealth to learn more.
