NEW PARIS — National Trail’s volleyball team suffered a straigth set loss to visiting Union County (Ind.) on Thursday, Oct. 6.

The host Blazers kept the first two sets close before falling 25-20, 25-22, 25-13.

“We have to learn from our mistakes and get better. Next week is our last week of regular season play and we have sectional tournament coming up. So we have very little time to work,” National Trial coach Joy Yeazel said.

Leading the Blazers offensively was Lexi Stiner with four kills and Ariel Lee had two aces. Defensively, Risa Griffin had 10 digs.

Trail, now 4-14 overall, was scheduled to travel to Middletown Madison on Monday, Oct. 10. The Blazers were scheduled to host Bethel and honor its seniors on Tuesday and will close out the regular season with a road match at Ansonia on Thursday.
