CEDARVILLE — The season is now over for the Tri-County North cross country team, having been eliminated during the Cedarville District tournament held on Saturday, Oct. 22.
The boys’ team finished in 23rd with 586 points in a field of 30 teams. Sophomore Bailey Hilt was the first Panther runner to cross the finish line, coming in 57th with a time of 18:18. Ian Alexander (116th, 19:54) and Patrick Timmons (117th, 19:55) finished together in a group.
The rest of the team included Trenton Napier (156th, 21:06,) Gregory Ras (160th, 21:14,) Brandon Smeltzer (168th, 21:22,) and Thomas Pudenz (169th, 21:27.)
The girls team finished 20th with 496 points out of 23 teams. Lauren Koenig led the Lady Panthers in 80th place with a time of 23:19. Julia Myers was next for North, placing 120th, in 25:24. Closing out in a group were Hailey Brumley (136th, 26:45,) Taylor Cooper (137th, 26:46) and Anna Norris (138th, 26:48.) The final runners were Lindsay Owens (158th, 28:46) and Caitlyn McCullough, (166th, 31:18.)
