PREBLE COUNTY — Members of the Eaton and Preble Shawnee boys’ soccer teams received individual awards from the Southwestern Buckeye League for the 2016 season.

All-conference selections were announced by the league last week.

Eaton was represented by senior Dan Howard and sophomore James Howard, who were first team all-conference selections in the Southwestern Division. James Howard led the division with 40 points on 16 goals and eight assists, while his brother Dan had 28 points on 11 goals and six assists.

Junior Grant Sullender was voted second team all-conference.

Eaton sophomore Nathan Gard and junior Steven Perry received honorable mention all-conference.

In addition, Eaton coach Matt Money earned the Coach of the Year award.

In the Buckeye Division of the SWBL, junior Luke Feck earned first-team selection for the Arrows. Feck was fourth in the division with 31 total points, with 13 goals and five assists. Fellow Arrow Austin Fields, a junior goalkeeper with 204 saves, was named to the second-team, while sophomore Cody Clevenger and freshman Carter Roell earned honorable mention honors.

Preble Shawnee finished the season with a 4-5-1 league record, good for sixth place, and a 6-8-2 overall mark. Eaton was fourth in the Southwestern Division with a 6-6 record, and finished 10-8 overall. The highlight of the season for Eaton was its first ever victory over SWBL powerhouse Bellbrook.
