All-CCC soccer awards announced

PREBLE COUNTY — The Cross County Conference recently announced the recipients of all-conference honors for the 2016 boys’ soccer season.

Andrew Willett of National Trail, Tyler Gray of Tri-County North, and Jacob Wells of Twin Valley South earned first team All-CCC for their programs.

Nick Harrist of Trail, Jarod Issacs of North, and Bryant Marker of South earned second team All-CCC honors.

Twin Valley South had the best record among the three county schools, placing fifth in the conference with a 2-3-1 record and 6-8-2 overall. Tri-County North was sixth with a 1-5 mark and 2-12 overall, while National Trail finished seventh at 0-6 and 0-14 on the season.

Bethel won the conference championship, going 6-0 in the CCC and 11-4-1 overall. The Bees were led by Korry Hamlin, who was named Player of the Year, and Bob Hamlin, who earned Coach of the Year for 2016.
