EATON — ACT WorkKeys is conducting a study to compare updated WorkKeys Applied Mathematics/Applied Math, Locating Information/Graphic Literacy and Reading for Information/Workplace Documents assessments with current WorkKeys assessments. Participants of the study will complete the three assessments, either online or via paper/pencil (method chosen by ACT), at Sinclair’s Eaton campus onEast Washington-Jackson Road.
Testing will take up to three hours. Candidates must be 18 years of age or older and must bring a valid ID. Individuals who participate in the study will receive from ACT:
•$60 Amazon e-gift card for completing all three tests. (The e-gift card offer has been made by ACT and should be emailed to the participants email address within 4-6 weeks.)
•Based on scores, participants could receive an ACT National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) (valued at $95.) Participants are asked to arrive 45 minutes prior to test time for a kickoff session with Ray Gooch, Sinclair Community College Workforce Development. This will set the tone, prepare everyone for the assessments, get the juices flowing, and help those taking the tests “chart yout own course for a bright future of meaningful work you’re good at, will continue to enjoy or will begin to enjoy,” officials said.
Tests will be given Monday, April 3: from 9 a.m.-noon, participants should arrive at 8:15 a.m.; from 2-5 p.m., participants should arrive at 1:15 a.m.; and from 5:30-8:30 p.m., participants should arrive at 4:45 p.m.
The tests will be given again on Wednesday, April 5, from 2-5 p.m., and participants should arrive for the session at 1:15 p.m.
