EATON — The Preble County Historical Society has announced the second event in its Summer Events Series. All events are held at the Society’s location at 7693 Swartsel Road, six miles southeast of Eaton off Ohio 122.

PCHS welcomes everyone to join in for the music, fun, food, and beverages.

On July 18, PCHS welcomes the Preble County Idol Semi-Finals Top 20 from 3-5 p.m. at The Amphitheater (Admission is free.)

At 5 p.m., the gates open for the ticketed concert ($10 per person admission at the gate – cash only) presented by Ticket to Ride – A Beatles Tribute Band featuring music and costumes from the Ed Sullivan Show and the Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band Album. The concert begins at 7 p.m. at the Amphitheater.

Come early. The PCHS Historic buildings and Exhibit Hall and the Carriage House Café (operated by Buckeye Jake’s) open at 5 p.m. Also open are the trails and nature areas on the grounds of the Historical Society.

Ticket to Ride invites listeners “across the universe” on a “magical mystery tour” exploring the Beatles’ “revolution,” in popular music and culture. Employing authentic “Beatles” instruments, amplifiers, and costumes, coupled with faithful renditions of your favorite Beatles classics, Ticket to Ride recreates the spirit of the “Fab Four.”
