EATON — Communities in Preble County, in conjunction with Preble County Development Partnership, did a “Business Walk” with the BusinessFirst team on Thursday. Oct. 6.
During Business Walks, teams of three or four individuals canvass a community in order to talk with business owners and operators. On Thursday morning, one group visited several businesses in Eaton. Others were visiting villages in the county, including Lewisburg.
“The hope is to discuss any opportunities or obstacles facing our local business owners and to provide them with possible resources and assistance to address their individual needs,” PCDP Economic Development Director Brenda Latanza said earlier this month.
“We are one of several communities in the Dayton Region to do this with local small businesses,” she said. “This is Preble County’s first Business Walk but we are the first community to extend it beyond one city/community as we are visiting Eaton, West Alexandria and Lewisburg companies.”
Preble County’s BusinessFirst partners include individuals from Small Business Development and County Corp. Business First uses a customer-oriented approach to link businesses with resources that “help businesses stay and grow in the community.”
Business First is a coordinated group of more than 1000 economic, community, workforce development and government agencies to assist businesses in meeting there objectives.
