Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak to give Anderson Lecture at Miami University

OXFORD — Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, is the speaker for the 2017 Anderson Distinguished Lecture Series presented by Miami University’s Farmer School of Business. He will speak at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, at Millett Hall. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Wozniak is a computer scientist best known for creating the Apple I and Apple II computers, the company’s first two models of the personal computer. His work with Steve Jobs allowed the company to become influential in the microcomputing industry.

Wozniak is currently launching Woz U, an online technology education platform that promotes technology skills that are relevant to prospective professionals in the industry. As the platform develops, Wozniak hopes to offer courses on software engineering, information technology and cybersecurity, among others.
