NEW PARIS — National Trail MVCTC FFF recently received a Three-Star National Chapter Award, the highest award bestowed to an FFA chapter. The chapter was selected for this honor based on its activities during the previous school year, in the areas of growing leaders, building communities, and strengthening agriculture.
National Trail MVCTC FFA alumni Haley Koehl, Abbey Rodefer and Macel Stowers received their American FFA Degrees.
The American FFA Degree is the highest degree awarded by the National FFA Organization and recognizes members’ ability to demonstrate leadership abilities and outstanding achievements in agricultural business, production, processing, and service programs. Recipients received gold American FFA Degree keys and a certificate to commemorate the achievement.
While at convention members attended sessions with a key note speaker, leadership workshops and toured Heartland Greenhouse. The greenhouse grows four million plants yearly.
Members attending included Emmalie Bescecker, Breanna Daum, Harley Henderson, Hailey Henderson, Thelma Weldy, Kylee Johnson, Brianne Kosier, Hannah Lee, Paige Lee, Keaton Lipps, Wade Mann, Leah Norton, Blake Osswald, Mykenzie Smith, Garland Weaver and Abbi Whitesell, and National Trail MVCTC FFA Advisors Eric Kennel and Carmen Kennel.

LEWISBURG — On Thursday, Sept. 29, 23 TCN-MVCTC FFA members traveled to the Preble County Fairgrounds, where they were involved in the Preble County Ag/ Stem Day.
The day consisted of all the Preble County schools’ third graders going to the fairgrounds and being taught ag lessons by high school FFA members. The FFA chapter members taught lessons about sheep/goats and feed to over 470 third graders. It was a great day filled with lots of fun. Thank you to all involved.
Also, congratulations to our TCN-MVCTC State FFA Rural Soil Judging Team. The team consisted of Kelli Cooke, Chryseis Kazee and Colton Vanwinkle. On Saturday, Oct. 9, they competed in the state contest and placed 22nd out of the top 50 teams in Ohio. It was a very tight and tough competition. They all worked hard and represented the chapter well. We are very proud of them.
