EATON — On Saturday, April 1, the Eaton High School Winterguard program made school history by winning the State Championship in its class.

The junior varsity team led by Senior Captain Alex Grube took home the first place win for the program. The varsity team competed in a higher class, while also breaking school program records, placing third overall in dance and movement, fourth overall in equipment, and sixth overall in its class during finals.

The varsity team was led by Senior Captains Alison Parker and Katherine Daugherty.

“Congratulations on the outstanding team accomplishments. All of the time and hard work pays off even when championships aren’t won, but when they are, it is even more gratifying,” said Superintendent Jeff Parker.

The program is directed by Lisa White with assistance by Arianna Watkins and Amberlee Campbell.
