New Hope Souper Supper

Souper Supper at New Hope Church will be held on Saturday, April 22, from 4-6 p.m. Menu consists of baked chicken, corn casserole, glazed carrots, salads, dessert and drinks. New Hope Church is located at 5367 U.S. 35 West, Eaton.

Revival in Camden April 23-26

Pastor Greg F. Jackson and the First Southern Baptist Church of Camden invite the public to join them for revival April 23-26, with Evangelist Scott Smith from Georgia. Services will be at 7 p.m. nightly. Visit www.camdencornerofhope.com for more information.

Eaton UCC dinner

Eaton United Church of Christ will host its annual spring drive-thru dinner on Saturday, April 29, from 4:40-6:30 pm. Follow the driveway between the churches on Decatur St. and place your order. Menu is a choice of fried chicken or chicken/noodles with mashed potatoes; green beans or corn; broccoli salad or potato salad or pickled beets/eggs; apple pie, cherry pie, angel food cake, or chocolate cake with caramel icing. Cost of the meal is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Proceeds will help fund major improvements at the church.

Brethren Church bazaar/bake sale

An annual bazaar and bake sale will be held Saturday, April 29, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Brethren Church, 32 S. Church St., New Lebanon. The event will feature baked goods, hand crafted items, kitchen items, gently used clothing, and gently used garage sale items. Use the south rear door. Come and enjoy the bargains.

Northside Chapel rummage/bake sale

Northside Chapel at 6820 N. Main St. in Camden will have its annual rummage/bake sale on Thursday-Saturday, May 4-6, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. There will be yard sale items, children’s clothing, crafts, jewelry and plants. Biscuits and gravy will be served from 8-11 a.m. and there will be lunch specials each day. Thursday is soup beans and cornbread with sides, Friday is chicken and dumplings with sides and Saturday is choice of sandwich of either beef barbecue, pulled pork or hot dog with sides. There will be lots of baked sale items for sale.

Camden National Day of Prayer, May 4

Pastor Greg F. Jackson invites the public and members of area churches to join the congregation of First Southern Baptist Church for 2023 National Day of Prayer, Thursday, May 4, in Camden. They will offer two services on Thursday, May 4. The first will be at the gazebo in Camden across from the Camden_Somers Fire Station on Central Avenue at noon. The second will be at 7 p.m. at the church,located at the “Corner of Hope,” Central Avenue and U.S. 127.

Englewood National Day of Prayer, May 4

A National Day of Prayer gathering will be held in the council chambers of the Englewood Government Center, 333 West National Road, Englewood, Thursday, May 4, from noon-1 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend and join in prayer for the nation, government, military, businesses, schools, families, churches, Israel, media, and arts and entertainment. There will also be prayers of repentance and revival for the nation. The theme this year is “Pray fervently in righteousness” from James 5: l6. If unable to attend this gathering, there are two other prayer gathering in the area: one at First Light Church, 140 Elva Ct., Vandalia at 8:45 a.m. and one at Courthouse Square in downtown Dayton at Third and Main at noon.

GriefShare at Trinity Church

GriefShare, a 13-week support group, meets each Wednesday through May 24, at Trinity Church, 511 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, from 6-8 p.m. GriefShare is designed to give help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member of friend. It is a weekly seminar and support group which can help individuals rebuild their lives after the death of a loved one. GriefShare consists of three parts, a video seminar, small group discussion and a workbook. GriefShare is a part of a network of churches worldwide. It is nondenominational and features biblical concepts for healing from grief. Registration fee is $20, which includes the workbook. Each session is “self contained,” so individuals can begin attending any time. Camden Kids for Christ

Northside Chapel First Church of God at 6820 N. Main St. in Camden offers Camden Kids for Christ for students in kindergarten through 6th grade on the third Saturday of each month from 5-7 p.m. All are welcome.

Hope4Kids@FSBCamden

First Southern Baptist Church in Camden offers Hope4Kids@FSBCamden for kindergarten-5th grade each Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend. The youth also meet at 6:33 p.m. each Wednesday.

Gospel Light Baptist location change

Gospel Light Baptist Church is currently meeting at William Bruce Elementary School, located at 506B Aukerman Street in Eaton, while its new church building is being built.
