The following information has been provided by area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Friday, May 5, Brookville Report 23-00185: Kelly E. Glissmeyer, 44, of Brookville, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated (OVI), OVI with level over .08 but less than .17, speeding and display of driver’s license. She registered at .110 on a breath intoxilyzer test. She was issued a court summons and released to her husband.

Brookville Report 23-00186: Police responded to Ankara Avenue on a domestic dispute. No charges were filed.

Clayton Report 23-0000503: Andrew N. Harrison, 51, of Dayton 45401, was charged with driving under non-compliance suspension, driving without a valid license, expired license plate, receiving stolen property (motor vehicle) and was arrested on two warrants out of Montgomery County. He was transported to the county jail.

Saturday, May 6, Clayton Report 23-0000508: J’montea E. Simon, 28, of Dayton 45416, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, driving under suspension, and open container. Simon was convicted of operating a vehicle intoxicated in 2015. He was transported to the county jail.

Clayton Report 23-0000509: Police responded to the 4000 block of Rundell Dr. on the report of a burglary. The victim stated her ex-boyfriend broke into her house and stole her cell phone and then fled. Derrick G. Dewberry, 42, of Riverside, was charged with burglary. Charges were forwarded to Vandalia Municipal Court seeking a warrant for his arrest.

Sunday, May 7, Clayton Report 23-0000512: Police responded to the 6100 block of Salem Ave. on a domestic dispute. A subject was advised of how to obtain a police report to take to the Vandalia Municipal Court prosecutor’s office if he wished to pursue charges.

Clayton Report 23-0000513: Police responded to a domestic dispute in the 4500 block of Seville Dr. No charges were filed.

Monday, May 8, Clayton Report 23-0000519: A resident reported that her granddaughter’s husband had somehow gained access to her bank account and had withdrawn $2,720 over three transactions. She stated the bank marked the transactions as fraud, but she still had to pay the money back.

Tuesday, May 9, Brookville Report 23-00190: A resident of Salam Street reported receiving notifications on her iPhone that an Apple AirTag (tracking device) was moving with her. An officer inspected the victim’s vehicle and did not locate any tracking device. She was advised to call police if she noticed anyone following her or acting suspicious around her vehicle or home.

Clayton Report 23-0000523: Nicholas A. Terlau, 37, of Clayton 45415, was charged with possession of schedule I or II drugs, possessing drug abuse instruments and violation of a protection order while committing a felony. He was transported to the county jail.

Clayton Report 23-0000524: A theft in progress was reported at Dollar General. A Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputy, Dayton Police and the Ohio State Highway Patrol Aviation Unit were able to track down the vehicle involved and detained three individuals. Two of the three were issued criminal trespass warnings. A third subject, Brandon C. Wood, 38, of Dayton 45417, was taken into custody by Dayton Police and transported to the county jail.

Clayton 23-0000525: A resident reported seeing an individual on Facebook that was selling Taylor Swift concert tickets for $300 each. The seller requested payment through a Cashapp. The resident sent $1,200 to the account but didn’t receive the tickets and the seller deleted her Facebook account. The victim was told to contact her bank to see if the transaction could be canceled.

Wednesday, May 10, Brookville 23-00193: Police responded to Dollar General on the report of two theft suspects inside the store. Both suspects were discovered to be wanted. Alyssa A. Doyle, 24, at large, was arrested on a warrant out of Montgomery County for a probation violation. Dale M. Augaitis, 39, at large, was arrested on a warrant out of Beavercreek for possession of criminal tools and theft. Both were transported to the county jail. Both were also issued criminal trespass warnings for Dollar General and 100 Parkview Dr. North.

Brookville Report 23-00196: Michael D. Lutz, 42, of Eaton, was arrested on a warrant out of Preble County Common Pleas Court. He was transported to county line and turned over to a Preble County deputy.

Clayton Report 23-0000526: Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 4500 block of Seville Dr. No charges were filed.

Englewood Report 23-0000770: Angalina M. Williams, 19, of Trotwood, was charged with theft at Walmart, issued a court summons and released.

Thursday, May 11, Clayton Report 23-0000535: Officers responded to Colemere Circle on a domestic dispute. A male subject was observed with a substantial wound to his lower lip. He refused to press charges and agreed to spend the night somewhere else.

Saturday, May 13, Union Report 23-000000168: Officers responded to the area of 222 Phillipsburg-Union Rd. on a vehicle crash. Dispatch advised a Jeep had lost a tire and fled the area. Officers observed heavy damage to the railroad ties at the entrance of Minnich Cemetery. Two witnesses said a Jeep was speeding east when it lost a tire and crashed into the cemetery. Lt. Redmon located a gray Jeep Wrangler in the 100 block of Marrett Farm Rd. with significant damage with a missing rear passenger side tire. An officer spoke to a female at the residence who stated she was not driving, that a male subject was driving and fled after the crash. A nearby resident stated that he had observed the female driving the Jeep. Dispatch advised the woman was a wanted subject. Beverly J. Chambers, 56, of Union, was arrested on a warrant out of Englewood for failure to appear and was charged by Union Police for no operator’s license, failure to control, and stopping after an accident on public roads. Chambers was turned over to the custody of an Englewood officer.

Union Report 23-000000169: Telecommunications harassment was reported on Skyles Road. The victim signed a refusal to prosecute form and requested that police contact the person that had threatened to kill her to tell him not to call her ever again. The male was contacted by police and agreed to have no further contact with the victim.
