HUBER HEIGHTS — The 2023 track season ended for Northmont at the Division I, Region IV meet at Wayne High School held last Wednesday and on Friday.
Northmont’s boys 4×100 meter relay team just missed qualifying for state. Deuce Cortner, Dorian Brew, Dajuan Lamb, and Nigel Glover clocked a time of 42.78 to place 5th just behind Wayne’s 4th place finish of 42.53.
Abby Drosdak placed 7th in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11:12.93. Only the top four placers in each event advanced to the state meet. Lauren Zanotelli took 1st place in 10:42.37.
Kaley Underwood placed 7th in the 300 hurdles in 47.26 seconds. Ric’Keya White of Wayne took 1st in 43.12.
Lukas Rieben finished 11th in the boys 3200 meter run in 9:489.39. Evan Trapp of St. Xavier took 1st place in 9:17.04.
Daron Porter placed 7th in the 800 meter run in 1:55.64. Calvin Kilgallon of Lebanon took 1st in 1:53.54.
Dorian Brew placed 7th in the 100 meter dash at 10.91 seconds. Koy Beasley of LaSalle took 1st place in 10:58.
Yuania Wilkinson-Harper finished 13th in the girls shot put at 33-feet, 6.5-inches.
Northmont boys finished 10th in the 4×800 meter relay (Reed Diller, Lukas Rieben, Jackson Morgret, Daron Porter) at 8:20.75.
The girls 4×800 team (Jazlen Simpson, Serra Drosdak, Libbi Mergler, Abby Drosdak) finished 15th at 10:21.94.
