Grand jury indicts Luker, others

EATON — The man arrested last month in connection to the death in a fire a New Paris resident was indicted by a Preble County grand jury.

During the session on Monday, Oct. 2, Anthony Wayne Luker Jr., 23, 3794 Beachgrove Lane, Richmond, Indiana, was indicted on charges including reckless homicide, having weapons while under disability, grand theft when the property is a firearm or dangerous ordnance and receiving stolen property. Kenneth Doolin, 57, died as a result of the fire at his residence located at 6599 Ohio 121 West, near New Paris, on Thursday, Sept. 7. Luker remained in the Preble County Jail at press time.

The grand jury also issued the following indictments during the Oct. 2 session:

Melvin Keith Rusk, c/o Preble County Jail, Eaton, domestic violence; William Walter Neel, 7788 Ohio 177, Camden, aggravated possession of drugs and tampering with evidence; Taylor Johnson, 1106 Aukerman Street, Eaton, endangering children, felonious assault, endangering children and endangering children; Jeremy C. Capps, 9354 Gratis-Jacksonburg Road, Somerville, domestic violence.

Also: Alyssa Nicole Napier 419 Grapefruit Ave., Apt. 10B Sebring, Florida, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence, aggravated possession of drugs and possession of heroin; Caleb Dewayne Hamilton, 4823 W. James Road, Connersville, Indiana, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility and possession of heroin.
