NEW PARIS — New Paris’ 30th annual Applefest closed on Sunday, Sept. 8, after a successful weekend of apple-themed fun, entertainment and fundraising. “We are beyond grateful to our incredible community for the outpouring of love and support this year,” organizers said in a social media post. “Our 30th anniversary was truly the best one yet! This weekend was packed with so much excitement, we hardly had a moment to spare. A heartfelt ‘thank you’ to our amazing team for their hard work and dedication, to our vendors, sound crews, volunteers, those who helped with the rides, the Northwest Fire & EMS, and the fantastic Village of New Paris staff,” the post continued. “We couldn’t have done it without you. We also want to once again express our gratitude to the original Applefest committee from 30 years ago. Their vision created something special, and we are honored to carry the torch. We hope we’ve made them proud with this year’s celebration.” Watch for additional Applefest coverage in the Saturday edition of The Register-Herald.
