RICHMOND, INDIANA — A record-breaking performance by freshman Josh Brubaker helped National Trail’s boys golf team to a Western Ohio Athletic Conference title last week.
The Blazers traveled to the Richmond Elks Thursda, Sept. 19 to take part in the WOAC tournament and finished off a perfect WOAC season with a tournament win.
Preble Shawnee finished seventh, Tri-County North was 10th and Twin Valley South finished 12th.
The Blazers shot a team score of 305, 22 shots ahead of runner-up Arcanum, to take the victory.
Trail was led by a school record setting performance from freshman Josh Brubaker. His 4-under par 66 broke his own school record by four strokes and was good enough to win the tournament individually by nine strokes.

Senior Aidan Koehl shot 87 and freshman Wyatt Gebhart fired a 90 for the non-scoring positions.
