EATON — The Preble County Mental Health & Recovery Board and the Substance Abuse Prevention Partnership is hosting a Save a Life Day event on Thursday, Sept. 26, and will hold the 13th annual Walk to Remember, Walk for Hope on Saturday, Sept. 28.
Known as Free Naloxone Day, this event is dedicated to educating the community on harm reduction techniques and overdose prevention.
This is a free event with food, local resources, music, and door prizes.
Preble County’s Save a Life Day will take place at Eagles Point Gymnasium Parking Lot (310 N Barron Street Eaton) from 5:30-7:30 p.m. We invite all community members to join us.
Walk to Remember, Walk for Hope
The Preble County Mental Health & Recovery Board and Suicide Prevention Coalition is hosting the 13th Annual Walk to Remember, Walk for Hope on Saturday, Sept. 28.
This event is dedicated to those lost by suicide and to bring awareness to the importance of mental health care. All proceeds benefit local suicide prevention programming.
Day-of registration will begin at 9:30 a.m., with t-shirts available while supplies last.
This year’s Walk/5K will kick off at 10 a.m., starting and finishing at the Eaton High School Wellness Center and taking participants through Fort St. Clair Park.
To further remember those who have died by suicide in the community PCMHRB will be placing pictures of loved ones submitted to them by family members along the walkway.
PCMHRB and the Suicide Prevention Coalition invites everyone to join in on Saturday, Sept. 28, in the fight to end suicide.
