BOYS SOCCER

Eaton

The Eagles took 20 shots on goal Thursday but couldn’t find the back of the net as they battled Carlisle to a scoreless tie. Jordan Downs led Eaton with nine shots on goal. Goalkeeper Connor Fitch made 14 saves to keep Carlisle off the scoreboard. Eaton’s record moved to 3-5-1 overall and 1-2-1 in conference play while Carlisle went to 2-4-1 and 0-3-1.

Northmont

Nevin Smith scored four goals and had one assist to help lead the Thunderbolts to a 10- victory Thursday over Miami East. Julian Bazile had two goals and three assists, Chris Powell one goal and two assists, Keegan Islam a goal and an assist while Roman Deem and Evan Zender each had an assist. Goalkeepers Ethan Crist made two saves and Jaden Green one to preserve the shutout.

Preble Shawnee

Parker Kanet had one goal and an assist and Isaac Beidelman one goal as Newton edged Preble Shawnee 2-0 Thursday. Goalkeeper made three saves to preserve the win as the Indians improved to 4-1-0 in conference play and 4-7-0 overall while Shawnee fell to 3-3-0 in WOAC play and 5-5-0 overall.

Tri-County North

The Panthers fell to 2-4-0 in conference play and 5-7-0 with a 4-1 loss to Dixie on Thursday. The Greyhounds improved to 5-0-0 in conference play and 10-2-0 overall. No scoring statistics were available.

GIRLS SOCCER

Brookville

The Lady Devils battled Miami East to a 1-1 tie in a non-league game on Thursday. Grace Taylor scored an unassisted goal for Brookville. Katie Paulus scored off an assist by Cher Sroufe for Miami East. Jaylee Brooks made eight saves in goal for the Lady Devils. With the tie Brookville moves to 5-3-2 overall while Miami East moves to 4-2-3.

Eaton

The Lady Eagles scored a 6-0 victory Thursday over Carlisle with Myla Roberts netting three goals and one assist. Adie Heggs and Eva Roberts each had a goal and an assist and Autumn Gillenwater had one goal. Eaton suffered a 5-0 loss Saturday to Bellbrook. Addison Bethel, Georgie Earley, Caitlyn Hensen, Ella Stillings, and Emerson Volmer each scored a goal and Hansen had three assists for Bellbrook, which improved to 5-0-0 in league play and 10-1-2 overall while Eaton fell to 4-1-1 in SWBL play and 6-3-2 overall.

Northmont

The Lady Bolts suffered a 2-0 loss Wednesday to Springboro. Tessa Blain had a goal and an assist and Poppy Wakefield had a goal for the Lady Panthers. Springboro improved to 4-0-0 in conference ply and 9-1-1 overall while Northmont fell to 1-3-0 and 4-5-0.

Preble Shawnee

With a 2-2 tie Thursday against Newton the Lady Arrows moved to 4-0-1 in conference play and 5-2-2 overall while the Lady Indians moved to 5-1-1 in WOAC play and 6-4-1 overall. Quinn Green and Aubrey Unger scored for Shawnee while Gwen Holbrook scored both Newton goals and Mia Szakal had an assist.

Tri-County North

The Lady Panthers scored a 4-0 victory Thursday over Dixie to improve to 3-3-0 in conference play and 7-5-0 overall while the Lady Greyhounds fell to 0-6-0 in the WOAC and 3-9-0 overall. Kasidi Daugherty led TCN with two goals while Reese Myers and Rylie Myers netted one goal. Leinani Garcia and Hayden Shannon each had an assist. Goalkeeper Chloe Oliver had one save to earn the shutout.

Twin Valley South

With a 2-1 victory Thursday over National Trail the Lady Panthers improved to 5-2-0 in Western Ohio Athletic Conference play and 8-2-1 overall while the Lady Blazers fell to 1-6-0 and 3-6-1. Kelsie Maggard scored both TVS goals off assists by Noelle Bassler and Lexi Thompson. Mackenzie Clouse made two saves in goal. Hannah Henderson scored for Trail off an assist by Megan Irvin. Taylor Reynolds allowed one goal with eight saves and Josie Stiner allowed one goal with 10 saves.

VOLLEYBALL

Eaton

Eaton improved to 6-2 in SWBL play and 8-5 overall Thursday with a 25-19, 25-10, 25-12 victory over Carlisle, which fell to 1-7 in league play and 3-9 overall. Shandon Garrett led Eaton with 17 kills, 25 set attempts, 12 total service points, two service aces, five digs, and two blocks. Julianne Deaton had 13 kills, 24 set attempts, two total service points, one service ace, and two digs. Kenzie Wilson had 29 assists, 18 total service points, five service aces, and 11 digs.

National Trail

Arcanum defeated National Trail 25-5, 25-16, 25-14 on Thursday to remain undefeated at 7-0 in WOAC play and 12-0 overall. Trail fell to 2-6 and 3-12 overall. Alexis Gibbons led Arcanum with 11 kills, 21 set attempts, eight total service points, two service aces, and two digs. Grace Fry had 21 assists, 21 set attempts, seven service aces, and four digs. Kamryn Beisner had seven kills, 18 set attempts, 11 total service points and 15 digs. Caroline Long had eight kills, 16 set attempts, and one block. Cameron Garbig had 12 digs. There were no statistics for National Trail.

Northmont

First place Centerville (8-0, 10-3) handed Northmont a three-set loss Thursday 25-10, 25-23, 25-16 as the Lady Bolts fell to 6-3 in GWOC play and 11-5 overall. For Northmont, Brianna Abels had three kills, 12 set attempts, nine assists, eight total service points, and four digs. Lydia Bridenbaugh had two kills, 14 set attempts, 16 total service points, seven digs, and one block. Elle Gilmore had four kills, 10 set attempts, one dig, and two blocks. Jenna Hall had four kills, 27 set attempts, five total service points, and six digs. Madison Wadle had 12 digs.

Preble Shawnee

Bradford defeated Preble Shawnee on Thursday in four sets, 16-25, 25-13, 25-21, 25-20. Bradford improved to 2-6 in WOAC play and 3-14 overall while Shawnee fell to 2-4 in conference play and 6-7 overall. Sallie Montgomery led the Lady Arrows with nine kills, 26 set attempts, 14 assists, 13 total service points, three service aces and 25 digs. Macy Price had seven kills, 16 set attempts, 20 total service points, three service aces, 15 digs, and one block. Ally Rike had six kills, 12 set attempts, 20 assists, 15 total service points, 12 digs, and one block. Caylee Hatmaker had six kills, 17 set attempts, 11 total service points, one service ace, three digs, and two blocks. Emma Fields had three kills, 15 set attempts, 10 total service points, one service ace, 10 digs, and one block. Shawnee also lost to Hamilton on Saturday 25-10, 20-25, 25-17, 25-19. The Lady Panthers suffered a 25-21, 25-5, 25-8 loss Thursday to Franklin Monroe to fall to 0-7 in conference play and 0-13 overall while the Lady Jets flew to 6-0 in WOAC play and 8-6 overall. Taylor Cole had three kills, 20 set attempts, four assists, five total service points, four digs, and one block. Paityn Davidson had 17 digs.
