WEST ALEXANDRIA — Two West Alexandria residents arrested last week are facing drug-related charges following a drug trafficking investigation.

According to Sheriff Mike Simpson, on Thursday, Sept. 19, Preble County Sheriff’s deputies were “working complaints of trafficking in drugs in the West Alexandria area.”

During the investigation, investigators determined that one of the two males was in possession of suspected methamphetamine, Simpson reported.

“Investigators contacted a male subject leaving a garage at 101 ½ West Dayton Street and learned that he was in possession of suspected methamphetamine, and that he had just ‘traded’ for the drugs with a male in the garage. Deputies contacted the male in the garage and were granted consent to search the garage,” Simpson said in a press release.

Investigators located approximately seven grams of suspected methamphetamine, digital scales and meth pipes, the release noted.

The suspect in the garage admitted to selling methamphetamine from the garage, which is located within 1,000 feet of Twin Valley South Schools.

Robert S. Johnson, 39 of the West Dayton Street residence, was arrested and has been formally charged in Eaton Municipal Court with aggravated trafficking in drugs, a 3rd degree felony; aggravated trafficking in drugs, a 4th degree felony; aggravated possession of drugs, a 4th degree felony; aggravated possession of drugs, a 5th degree felony, and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a 4th degree misdemeanor.

Clyde W. Miller, 41, of West Alexandria, was arrested and has been charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a 5th degree felony, and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a 4th degree misdemeanor.
