BROOKVILLE — In December 1962, members of the Brookville Fire Department purchased a 3,300 gallon water tanker trailer for use in case of rural fire calls. They also started a file which would enable them to answer all calls via shortest and best route.

Clayton voters defeat subdivision plan
CLAYTON — Voters in the city of Clayton overwhelmingly defeated Issue 4, a plan to redevelop 43 acres of farm land into a residential subdivision along Phillipsburg-Union and Haber roads in the rural area in the northeast sector of the city.
Eaton recognizing Red Cross Month
EATON — March is Red Cross Month, when the American Red Cross celebrates the volunteers who make their lifesaving mission possible. Wednesday, March 27, is Giving Day and the American Red Cross invites the public to join in by attending an event, volunteering, giving blood, learning lifesaving skills or making a financial donation.
