Blazers sending six to regionals
PIQUA — Six athletes from National Trail’s track teams will continue their seasons moving on to compete in the regional track meet next week at Troy High School.

ARCANUM — Arcanum exploded for six second inning runs and made it stand up in defeating the Brookville girls softball team 8-2 Monday in the sectional final. The loss ended the Lady Devils softball season with a record of 12 wins and 14 losses.

BROOKVILLE — A leadoff single to left field in the bottom of the fifth inning by Nathan Waggoner followed by a sacrifice bunt by Coltin Lawson and a two-out, RBI single to shallow right field by Jace Wood gave Brookville the only run of the game as the Blue Devils edged West Liberty-Salem 1-0 Wednesday in the Division III, Southwest III sectional final.
Lady Bolts fall in district semifinal
CENTERVILLE — Even though the final score ended up 3-0 Monday in favor of Centerville during the district semifinal, it only took one swing of the bat to determine the outcome of the game.
Wild pitch ends T’bolts postseason bid
PIQUA — In a wild game at Hardman Field Tuesday in D-I sectional action, seventh seed Piqua opened an 8-0 lead over Northmont after five innings, then needed a walk-off run on a wild pitch in the home eighth inning to come away with a 9-8 victory.
