EATON — Mr. and Mrs. John Lowman of Eaton will celebrate 50 years of marriage Nov. 16.

A surprise luncheon celebration was held at Valley’s Edge in New Paris on Saturday, Nov. 10, for family and friends.

The former Carolyn Hubek and John Lowman were married on Nov. 16, 1968, at Visitation Catholic Church in Eaton. They are the parents of two sons, John Lowman and his wife Michelle of New Madison; Timothy Lowman and his girlfriend Yvonne Sirignano of West Chester, and one daughter, Lori Lowman of Eaton.

John finally retired after having worked over 50 years in numerous industries, including General Motors for 32 years and most recently at Allied Supply for 5 years. He is currently enjoying his free time working on new, and old, projects around the house.

Carolyn most recently retired from American Greetings after working there for 10 years. She is currently enjoying her free time working on all sorts of craftwork, baking, and cooking — and she now has a second set of hands to help.
