EATON — Rev. Annie Melick will join First Presbyterian Church, Eaton, on Sunday, June 5.

An Ohio native who has lived in various parts of Ohio and North Carolina, Melick has been a minister since 2000, serving a variety of roles and churches. Her undergraduate degree in accounting is from Ohio Northern University and her master’s degree in divinity is from Ashland Theological Seminary. Pastor Melick is an ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church USA.

Melick is married to Lyle Melick, and they have five grown children, along with a daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, a granddaughter, and various grand-pets. She is the proud mom of two Cavachon dogs named Birdie and Poppy.

First Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church USA and has an active youth ministry, including a weekly LOGOS program, Vacation Bible School, and an annual mission trip for middle and high school youth. The members elect youth elders who serve on the church board.

Members serve the community with a blessing box at the side door of the church. Anyone is invited to “give what you can and take what you need.” First Presbyterian is also a regular contributor to the Community Food Bank. Members of the church are inspired by their affiliation with First Presbyterian to serve the community through other agencies and organizations in Preble County and beyond, according to church officials.

The members and friends of First Presbyterian Church meet for worship every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Anyone who would like more information may email or phone the church office at [email protected] or 937-456-3754, or visit the church online at www.eatonfpc.org.
