Ice cream social

Eaton United Church of Christ’s annual ice cream social will be held Saturday, July 15, from 5-7 p.m. Menu will include: sandwiches — creamed turkey, sloppy joe, and hot dog; soups — chicken noodle and potato; various side dishes; fruit pies and cake and homemade ice cream — vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and peanut butter. Eaton UCC is located at 113 W. Decatur St. in Eaton.

Vacation Bible School Coming to Camden

The First Southern Baptist Church, in Camden, invites area kids to “Galactic Starveyor” V.B.S. from July 9-14 from 6-8 p.m. This year’s theme is “Helping Kids Discover the Invisible Wonders of God.”

The Men’s Brotherhood Group from the Lewisburg UMC and the Wares Chapel UMC are having a Picnic Supper/Community Singspiration on Sunday, July 16, to be held at the Wares Chapel Park, 1060 Foos Road, West Manchester. The men will start serving a picnic supper of sandwiches, side items, dessert, and drinks at 5:30 p.m. Following the supper there will be group hymn singing plus some special musical selections. A free will offering will be collected to cover costs of the evening and to be used to promote the Men’s Brotherhood. Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to sit on. Visitation CC Dinner

Visitation Catholic Church, BVM, 407 E. Main Street, Eaton, will have its monthly Community Dinner on Thursdays, July 27, Aug. 31, Sept. 28, Oct. 26, Nov. 30 and Dec. 28. There is no charge for the meal which is served from 4-5:30 p.m. in the church hall. Those who attend should use the entrance off the parking lot. Everyone is welcome. Camden United Methodist Church’s “All You Can Eat Breakfast,” will be held the fourth Saturday of every month, 7-11 a.m. Cost is $6.
