Get back to creativity

EATON — Fall means back to school and back to creativity too! Classes are now available for the fall session at the Visual Arts Center of Preble County. Kids can take a drawing class, create their own super heroes or get dirty with clay. Teens and grown ups can take classes too. Painting and drawing, knitting, piano lessons, and of course the ever popular ceramics hand building and wheel throwing.

Friday night Unwind and Create and Saturday Family Art Days will also be happening throughout the season. Classes and workshops start the week of Labor Day. Not up for a class or workshop? No problem, the Clay Café is Preble County’s only paint your own pottery studio and will be open Tuesday through Saturday. Just call for hours. Schedules and details are available at the Art Center or at www.takepartinart.net.

If you would like some inspiration for a ceramics project or are a patron of the arts, check out the main gallery for the Clay 2015 exhibit, from Sept.10 to Oct. 30.
