Farmer’s Market

Come and support the WA Celebration Committee’s weekly Farmers’ Market every Thursday from 5-8 p.m., through the end of August in Peace Park. All funds raised are used by the Celebration Committee to provide the community with fireworks for July 4, and new toys for Santa Villa in December. Funds also will be used for needed repairs at Santa Villa. Contact Carol Lunsford at 839-4085 for additional information or to reserve your space.

Baked Steak Dinner

The West Alexandria Celebration Committee is selling Baked Steak Dinners for $7 each on Sunday, July 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Police Dept. next to Subway on Ohio 503 North. Preorder by Wednesday, July 12 to ensure your order. Orders can be made by phone to Carol Lunsford, 839-4085, be mailed to Celebration Committee c/o Michelle Laughlin, 41 West Second Street or dropped off at the Pin Up Shoppe at 50 W. Second Street. American Legion

The Senior Fun Bunch meets every Thursday from 1-4 p.m. for music and dancing.

Euchre and Ladies Night every Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. with a 50/50 raffle.

Family Fun Day will be Sunday, August 6 at James E. Ryan, Post 322, 1477 Ohio 503 South.

Salem Lutheran Church

The Women of the Church invite women from area churches to their Summer Splash, Wednesday, July 12, at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Contact the church at 839-4210 or SWNALC President Brenda Wright at 456-3018 to RSVP no later than July 7. Come and enjoy fun, fellowship and food together!

The Youth will be camping at Hueston Woods July 21-23 with meals provided. Sign up by July 9 or call Lindsay at 937-733-6560.

The Men’s Breakfast and Bible Study invites others to join them for breakfast, Bible study, fellowship and prayer the third Saturday of each month, this July 15, in the Fellowship Hall.

Our mission for the month of July is W.A.C.O.C.A. providing for emergency needs in the area.

Applications for the Marie Reynolds Scholarship are due to the Church Secretary’s Office by July 15.

In celebration of our 200-year anniversary, we will be having a float in the Preble County Fair Parade July 29.

Church of the Brethren

The next Free Community Meal will be Wednesday, July 5 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Church of the Brethren, 22 E. Oak Street.
