Farmer’s Market

Come and support the WA Celebration Committee’s weekly Farmers’ Market every Thursday from 5-8 p.m., through the end of August in Peace Park. All funds raised are used by the Celebration Committee to provide the community with fireworks for July 4, and new toys for Santa Villa in December. Baked Steak Dinner

The West Alexandria Celebration Committee is selling Baked Steak Dinners for $7 each on Sunday, July 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Police Department next to Subway on Ohio 503 North. Pre-order by Wednesday, July 12 to ensure your order. Orders can be made by phone to Carol Lunsford at 937-839-4085, be mailed to Celebration Committee c/o Michelle Laughlin, 41 West Second Street, or dropped off at the Pin Up Shoppe at 50 W. American Legion

The Senior Fun Bunch meets every Thursday from 1-4 p.m. for music and dancing.

Euchre and Ladies Night every Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. with a 50/50 raffle.

Family Fun Day will be Sunday, Aug. 6, at James E. Ryan, Post 322, 1477 Ohio 503 South.

Salem Lutheran Church

The Women of the Church invite women from area churches to their Summer Splash, Wednesday, July 12, at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Contact the church at 937-839-4210 or SWNALC President Brenda Wright at 937-456-3018 to RSVP no later than July 7. Come and enjoy fun, fellowship and food together!

The Men’s Breakfast and Bible Study invites others to join them for breakfast, Bible study, fellowship and prayer the third Saturday of each month, this July 15, in the Fellowship Hall.

Our Mission for the month of July is the Good Samaritan Fund.

Applications for the Marie Reynolds Scholarship are due to the Church Secretary’s Office by July 15.

In celebration of our 200 year anniversary, we will be having a float in the Preble County Fair Parade July 29.

The Middle School Ministry meets Sunday evenings at 7 p.m.

We are collecting new stuffed animals or monetary donations for the Stuffed Animal Therapy Ministry, helping children of our county in times of crisis.

The Women of the Church are collecting dimes in water bottles for missions.

We are accepting your unwanted or recently expired coupons to donate to “Coups for Troops” where they can be used overseas in the military commissaries.
