This week’s trivia: Who were the editors of the Sesquicentennial Souvenir Books in Gratis and Camden.

Quote of the week: “80 percent of success is showing up.” — Woody Allen

Sympathy: Gratis-area residents lost a couple of their own these past few weeks, with the passing of Minda Brown and Ralph Combs, both whom were staples in the community and loved by all. Our prayers go out to their families and friends.

Winner: Kody Evans of Kody Evans Racing (KER) has won his third race in as many weeks. On July 15, he went on to win at Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky. After winning his heat he collected enough points to claim the pole position for the weekly 30 lap main event and pocketed the $1200 purse after winning the race. Kody is a 2017 Preble Shawnee graduate and is from Camden.
