He received the Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in Long Fiction in 2017, and he’s been a finalist for the Shirley Jackson Award and the Scribe Award. Waggoner is also a professor of creative writing and composition at Sinclair Community College.

Herbert Martin will be at the Eaton Library on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 6 p.m. Martin served as professor of English and poet-in-residence at the University of Dayton for over three decades, where he taught creative writing and African American literature. He has devoted decades to editing and performing the works of poet and novelist Paul Laurence Dunbar. He’s the editor of four books and nine volumes of poetry.

Carrie (C.V.) Hunt, author of nine books, will be at the Eaton Library on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. Her books include Zombieville, Home is Where the Horror Is, and Hold for Release Till the End of the World. There will also be a drawing to win a copy of her book We Did Everything Wrong.
