EATON — Grandparents Raising Grandchildren: A great resource with friendly ears, kind hearts, and non-judgement. A support network with Q & A, and speakers to answer those bigger questions. Join us as we come together to share on Fridays, Oct. 13 at 10 a.m,, and Oct. 27 at 1 p.m. Babysitting is available, let us know ahead of time.

Fun Friday: October is National Apple Month, and Today’s Harvest is speaking on Oct. 6 at noon. Learn about what they do, what they have, and taste a few apples. Purchase your tickets in advance at the senior activities center, $3 members, $5 non-members.

Chronic Disease Self-Management Workshop: Learn to better self-manage your health. Topics will include, strategies to deal with stress, fatigue, pain, weight management, and depression. Using physical activity to maintain and improve strength, flexibility, and endurance. Appropriate use of medications, and communicating effectively with family, friends, and health professionals. This class is a 6-week long class beginning Oct. 10. Each class runs from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Space is limited, call to reserve your spot, 937-456-4947. There is no charge to attend this workshop.

Northern Connection: Podiatrist, Dr. Bill will be speaking on foot health during this month’s Lunch and Learn. We will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul UMC in New Paris. For more information and to reserve your spot call UMC at 937-456-8484 or PCCOA at 937-456-4947. Make your reservation on or before Monday, Oct. 9.

Tai Chi for Health: Benefits all people regardless of their physical conditions, it is safe, improves many health conditions such as arthritis, back pain, diabetes, osteoporosis, and balance. We offer this classes at the senior activities center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:15-11 a.m. $3 members, $5 non-members.

Stretching & Relaxation: Works the overall body in standing, sitting, and laying positions, gently stretches the body, with a guided meditation to relax both the mind and body. This class is ongoing on Tuesdays from 9-9:45 a.m. at the senior activities center. $3 members, $5 non-members.

Weight Resistance: Build muscle through resistance, strengthen both upper and lower body. This class in ongoing on Thursdays from 9-9:45 a.m. at the senior activities center. $3 members, $5 non-members.

Historic WACO Field: The WACO Aircraft Company was the largest manufacturer of civil aircraft in the country in the late 1920s and early 30s. The museum is dedicated to the plant and employees that made it great. Learn more by going on this mini trip with us on Tuesday, Oct. 24. $27 Members, $37 for Non-Members.

Rising Star Casino: The casino will be transformed into a dazzling winter wonderland of enchanting scenes featuring animated figures, hundreds of props, the 12 days of Christmas and more! Sign up today for this magical casino experience on Tuesday, Nov. 14. $48 Members, $58 Non-Members.
