TVRGC Turkey Shoot

Twin Valley Rod and Gun Club Turkey Shoot is 1p.m. each Sunday through the end of November. The public is welcome, and there is a lunch stand in the Clubhouse.

American Legion

A Veterans’ Day Ham, Beans and Cornbread meal, at no charge, will be Nov. 11 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at James E. Ryan Post 322, 1477 Ohio 503 South.

The next SAL, All You Can Eat Breakfast will be Dec. 6 from 8-11 a.m.

Enjoy Old-time Country and Western music every Thursday from 1-4 p.m. with the Senior Fun Bunch. This includes coffee and snacks with no cover charge and is open to the public.

Giving Thanks Dinner will be Nov. 23 at 6:30 p.m. Carry-in meal; meat will be provided. Sign up in the Canteen and call Linda Wick for more details at 336-4655.

Good News Bible Club

Calvary Baptist Church is hosting it’s Good News Bible Club, for students in grades K-4, which meets in the TVS Middle School Art Room every Tuesday from 3:30 to 5p.m. as long as school is open. We currently have between 22 and 25 students attending. For information about the Good News Club, contact Wayne Cook at 937-336-9600 or Linda Cook at 937-336-9500 from Calvary Baptist Church.

Foodbank

Items needed are mac & cheese, spaghetti sauce, chicken noodle soup, peas, pork & beans, and pancake syrup. Also needed are gently used coats and blankets. The Foodbank is open from 10a.m. to 12p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and is located at St. John Church, 20 E. South Street. Contact the Foodbank at 839-1615 for additional information. Non-perishable donations can also be dropped off at Salem and St. John Lutheran Churches the first Sunday of each month.

Library News

The Wild Hearts Zoo will be at the West Alexandria Library on Saturday, Nov. 21 at noon.

This free, fun and educational wildlife program will allow children of all ages to learn about and touch reptiles, bugs and mammals from our natural world. www.wildheartszoo.org
