TVS Alumni Banquet
The 133rd Twin Valley South Alumni Banquet welcomes Lanier alumni, as well, to the TVS High School on Saturday, June 4. Doors open at 4:15 p.m. and social gathering is from 4:30-6 p.m. Banquet and program begins at 6 p.m. Cost of tickets is $23 per person. Tickets must be purchased by May 27, and can be purchased at Roselius Insurance, Twin Valley Bank, Alley Cuts and Heidi’s Barber Shop, all located in West Alexandria. Smoked Chicken or Pork Chop Fundraiser for Fireworks
Smoked chicken or pork chop carry-out dinners, provided by the West Alexandria Celebration Committee, will be used to help pay for the July 4 fireworks. Meals can be picked up at the WA Fire Dept, 25 East Dayton St. on Sunday, May 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Half a SMoked chicken with dinner roll, applesauce, and a choice of green beans or baked beans is $8. A 3/4 inch smoked pork chop with dinner roll, applesauce, and a choice of green beans or baked beans is $9. Food is prepared by Hog Wild Smokehouse Ribs. Orders need to be placed by Sunday, May 15, to ensure a dinner. We do make a few extra meals, but they are sold on a first-come first-served basis. The West Alexandria Celebration Committee is asking for donations to help with the annual July 4th fireworks display. The West Alexandria Fire Dept. BINGO takes place every Thursday. Doors open at 5 p.m. with open seating; first come, first served. Early bird games start at 6 p.m. to help those coming after work. All players must be 18 or over. We have several progressive games going on at 25 E. Dayton Street.
