EATON — The Eaton Area Community Band will present a summer concert on Tuesday evening, June 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center, located at the Eaton Middle/High School campus on Hillcrest Drive.

The 35-member group is directed by Tad Stewart, former director of bands at Eaton Community Schools, and is made up of local adult musicians and advanced students from four area high schools.

The program will include light popular music, like “Arkansas Traveler” and “Tennessee Salute,” a tribute to George Gershwin, and themes from popular movies.

Admission is free, but donations are welcomed.

The public is also invited to hear the band perform at the Preble County Historical Society, at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, as part of the PCHS July 4 weekend celebration.
