LEWISBURG — Community members are invited to learn about 4-H during “4-H Fest,” being held on Saturday, June 18, in Lewisburg. The event begins with an afternoon of clinics for 4-H members and then continues with a community event in the evening which is open to 4-H families and the community.

At 6 p.m., there will be a 4-H block party type of event on W. Dayton Street next to Brown Memorial Library. This part of the day is a time for 4-H families and the community to come and enjoy an evening out. There will be carnival games the Junior Fair Board is doing for a fundraiser. Tickets for games will be sold for a small price. There will be free hands-on activities, a petting zoo, food and live music.

Music will be performed by the Blue Jacket Boys, a local group of youth musicians.

At dusk, there will be a showing of an outdoor movie in partnership with Brown Memorial Library. Families should bring lawn chairs for the movie.

The Junior Fair Royalty Contest will be held at the Joy and Whimsy Depot beginning at 7 p.m. (There is limited seating with priority given to the family of contestants.)

Organizers are looking for a few volunteers and donations of a few items. To help out, visit https://go.osu.edu/4hfestvolunteer2022.

All 4-H Clubs are invited to set up a table promoting their club. Contact the OSU Extension Office for more information.
