WEST ALEXANDRIA — For Derek and Eshelle Bales, owners of Preble Memory Gardens Funeral Center, starting a monthly grief support group is just another way of caring for individuals after the loss of a loved one.

The Baleses know firsthand the overwhelming feeling of losing a loved one and the emotional effect it has on ones self. The grief support group is open to the public and will be held beginning Monday, June 27, in the community center at Preble Memory Garden Funeral Center, 3377 U.S. 35, West Alexandria, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and each session will feature a variety of topics and activities to support the bereaved.

Healthcare professional of over 38 years, Marvin Knobloch will be facilitating the support group. Knobloch is a national presenter, author, and trainer who has received numerous awards and has a passion for helping others.
