PREBLE COUNTY — The 50th Reunion of the Twin Valley South Class of 1972 was held Sept. 23-24.

On Friday, Sept. 23, an open event was held at the Olde Schoolhouse Vineyard and Winery, Eaton. Entertainment was provided by classmate Paul Duncan’s brother, Curt (class of ‘70). It was Curt Duncan’s final live performance.

On Saturday, Sept. 24, the class gathered at Valley’s Edge Lodge, New Paris.

A challenge was suggested by classmate Randy Schmidt, “Have any of you in the TVS class of ‘72 ever thought, ‘I think I still have it in me to do that … but will regret it later?’ I tend to think that way now and then. What if we put it to the test? Let’s do a 40-yard dash on Saturday.”

The challenge was slightly adjusted to accommodate the entrees and all had a good laugh.

Jeff Graham opened the evening with a review of class trivia. Schmidt followed with the invocation, and the meal was then served. Toastmaster Jerry Winkler and Jeff Studebaker presided over drawings for the memory books and raffle. Skip Conner provided music which took alumni down memory lane to their high school years.

Friendships were rekindled throughout the weekend.

The reunion planning committee thanks everyone for being a part of the special event.

“Even though our paths have taken us many different directions and scattered us across the country, we will always remain connected as the proud Twin Valley South High School Class of 1972,” Beverly Hora Babis said.

Members of the reunion committee included Deb Swafford Jeffers, Debbi Madewell Hornbrook, Babis, Jody Ross Wolery and Winkler.
