EATON — The Preble County Democratic Party collected and donated more than 200 pounds of items to the Preble County Food Bank for the 2016 Christmas season.

Each of the 50 people attending the Democrat Christmas party Dec. 4 was asked to bring food for needy Preble County families.

Donations included canned goods, pantry staples, packaged dry foods, and other items used in preparing meals at Christmas and in the new year.

Contributing to the food bank has been an annual tradition of the Preble County Democratic Party for many years.
