Ohio Hunter and Trapper meeting held

REYNOLDSBURG — On Feb. 25, H.K. Steiner, Richard Francis, Jorene Burgess, and Doug Marshall attended the annual Ohio Hunter and Trapper Education Instructor Association meeting at the Tall Timbers Banquet and Conference Center in Reynoldsburg. Matt Ortman spoke on the new computer system which was installed on Feb. 22.

He also explained the changes that are being made to hunter education. The new hunter education curriculum is scheduled to be implemented July 1. The Ohio licensing system also had some minor changes.

Programs speaker was Rod Slings, who is a national recognized hunting incident investigator. He spent 35 years in law enforcement in Iowa. He is one of the authors of the book Blood on the Leaves.
