ACT WorkKeys assessments scheduled

EATON — Preble County is the only certified ACT Work Ready Community in the state of Ohio.

County officials are encouraging the public’s help to maintain this status by taking the free ACT WorkKeys Applied Math, Locating Information and Reading for Information assessments.

Participants of the study will complete the three assessments, either online or via paper/pencil (method chosen by ACT.) Candidates must be 18 years of age or older and must bring a valid ID. Those taking the test can be a student, a current employee, unemployed, or seeking a different job opportunity.

Based on one’s scores, participants could receive an ACT National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC,) a $95 value.

The assessments will be given at Sinclair Community College at 450 E. Washington-Jackson Road, Eaton, on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 13 and June 14.

Test times on Tuesday will be 9 a.m.-noon or 1-4 p.m. Morning participants should arrive at 8:50 a.m., afternoon participants at 12:50 p.m.

Test times on Wednesday will also be 9 a.m.-noon or 1-4 p.m. Morning participants should arrive at 8:50 a.m., afternoon participants at 12:50 p.m.
