Preble County Fair releases info on Swine Department dates, changes

EATON — The Swine Department of the Preble County Fair released the following information regarding dates and changes.

Dates for shows this year are as follows: weigh-in, Saturday, July 29, at 7 a.m., starting with 4-H and FFA, followed by open class.

The Pee-Wee and Adult Showmanship shows will be Saturday, July 29, at 7 p.m.

The Open Class Barrow Show will be held Sunday, July 30, at noon.

The Jr. Fair Showmanship is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 1, at 8 a.m., and the Jr. Fair Barrow Show is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 2, at 8 a.m.

This year, the Open Barrow Show will be shown by weights and the Jr. Fair Barrow Show will become a breed show.

The Open Class Swine Department wishes to thank its 2016 donors who made those shows possible. The donors are: Tim and Jenny McCarty, Preble County Pork Festival, Chuck and Karen Krull, LCNB, Eaton Hometowne Furniture, Don and Barbara Orr, Mort and Cathy Combs, Buck Combs, Larry and Cheryl Shafer, Lon and Kay Swihart, Mike and Terri Hans.

Open class entries can be made online or at the fair board office.
