EATON — If you have documents or pictures you’d like to have digitized, bring them to Scan Day at the Preble County Room.
On Saturday, July 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. staff at the Preble County Room will scan up to 50 items per person. You’ll leave with your originals and a USB flash drive with digital images of your documents and pictures. In exchange for the free scanning service, the Preble County Room will keep a digital copy of each document and photo to add to the growing collection of local genealogy resources.
There is a size limit of 11-inches by 17-inches that can be scanned. Bring your own flash drive, or purchase one from the Preble County Room the day of the event.
The Preble County Room is the genealogy department of Preble County District Library. It’s located at 450 S. Barron St. in Eaton. For more information on Scan Day or any of the Preble County Room’s other resources or programs, visit www.preblelibrary.org/genealogy or call (937) 456-4970.
