Commissioners approve funding and contracts

EATON — The Preble County Commissioners met for their twice weekly meeting on Wednesday, June 28. Commissioner Denise Robertson and Rodney Creech were in attendance.

The commissioners noted receipt of vouchers submitted by the Preble County Auditor on June 23 and approved by the acting county administrator per Resolution 41-17-177.

Commissioners approved the following financial considerations:

•Resolution 388-17-179, transferring funds to various departments.

•Resolution 389-17-179, supplemental appropriations for Job and Family Services in the amount of $100,000.

•Resolution 390-17-179, authorizing an expenditure of $26,950 for rebar for various projects for the engineer.

•Resolution 391-17-179, authorizing payments to the sheriff of $1,891.62 and $6,062.39.

The following agreements and contracts were approved:

•A lease agreement with Longnecker Building group in the amount of $10,800 for felony subsidy.

•An amendment to child placement agreement with Adolescent Oasis, Inc. in an increased amount of $60,000 for Children Services.

•A subgrant agreement for Help Me Grow Part C Early Intervention between FCFC and Preble County Developmental Disabilities in the amount of $54,154.99 for Help Me Grow.

•A phone system maintenance agreement with Doss Business Systems for Job and Family Services in the amount of $2,500.

Commissioners also approved Resolution 392, authorizing the emergency expenditure of $18,150 for cleaning and sludge removal from storage. Commissioner Creech added, “That is for, we are having ammonia level issues. The sludge could be causing the ammonia levels. We are removing the sludge in hopes that it will fix the issue.”

The Preble County Commissioners meet every Monday and Wednesday at the Preble County Courthouse.
