EATON — The Preble County Farm Bureau’s Annual Meeting and Ice Cream Social will be held Saturday, July 29, at the Preble County Fair Grounds, 722 S. Franklin St., Eaton.

There will be free ice cream and a candidate reception at 1:30 p.m. in the Toney Building. Then check out the Preble County Fair and many activities during the day. There is no cost for this family event. Additionally, the public is welcome to stay for the business meeting, which will commence at 2 p.m., and provide an opportunity to learn more about Farm Bureau.

At this meeting, the Preble County Farm Bureau will focus on finalizing policy suggestions which will be taken to the Ohio Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in December.

Many of the officers and committee people have worked hard this year to make the local organization what it is, according to Organization Director Christy Montoya. “Preble County has more members than ever and we have committed many hours to state and national issues of importance to farmers and our agricultural community,” she said.

The winners of the 2017 Scholarship Program will also be announced.

Farm Bureau families participating in the Jr. Fair this year have access to exclusive add on money for their child’s 2017 project.

This event is free to members and guests. Those planning to attend should RSVP to the county office at 937-456-5400 or email: [email protected]. Only currently paid, active Farm Bureau members will have voting privileges.
