EATON —Hollingsworth-East Elementary PTO is sponsoring its 21st annual chili supper on Thursday, Oct. 19, from 5-7 p.m. in the East Elementary dining room.

The cost of the supper is $5 and pays for a bowl of chili, a hot dog, nachos and cheese, dessert, and a drink. Extra chili can be purchased for $2, extra hot dogs are $1, extra nachos and cheese are $1, and extra dessert is 50 cents.

This is a community supported event. The staff, students, and parents provide supplies and volunteer time to take this a successful fundraising event. Many local businesses donated supplies and door prizes. In conjunction with the chili supper, the PTO also opens the Scholastic Book Fair that evening.

It is a wonderful time to come and browse a great book selection with your child or grandchild. This is a great time to pick a gift for a special occasion. The Book Fair will be open from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Tickets are available at the door. Door prizes will be given away throughout the evening. East Elementary is located at 506 Aukerman Street in Eaton.
