On Saturday, June 27, the Preble County Stingrays will host their seventh annual Preble County Invitational Swim Meet. If you have previously participated as a sponsor, you know that this is not just an ordinary invitational. At the meet, we also host a “Breast Strokes for Breast Cancer Campaign.” In the past five years, we have raised over $4,500, which was donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The money is used to fund research for a cure and to fund local programs in the Greater Cincinnati and Dayton area including Preble County.
This year we would once again like to invite you to join us in our fight against breast cancer. For so many of us, this personal; we have watched loved ones — mothers, sisters, and daughters fight this courageous battle. At our invitational, we will have an informational table set up to increase awareness and to help educate the public. In addition, we will donate all of the proceeds from our breast stroke events to breast cancer research.
Please consider joining us in our effort to do our part to snuff out this dreaded disease by sharing this information with your employees and their families. They can sponsor a breast stroke event in memory or honor of someone they love. Sponsorships, which will be $25.00, will be announced during each event and listed in our program. Of course, sponsorship is not limited to individuals. Businesses and teams can also sponsor an event, and all donations are tax deductible!
If you would like to participate please call Pat School by Tuesday, June 23. Payments can be made at he Breast Stroke Information table during the invitational. Remember you too can help make a difference.
